12235 Gorham Avenue Residence Brentwood, California (4 Bedroom Home and Detached Guest House) This new residence began as a remodel to a small one story home on a tight 40o wide lot. The property zoning supported a 1,400 s.f. guest house in addition to the main house of 3,700 s.f. The facade chosen for this quiet Brentwood area took on a craftsman flare to fit the neighborhood. It took a year to design, develop, and build the house as the Owner and Architect worked closely together refining the design during construction to assure use of every view, every niche, and every practical use of space. Some special plan elements include: A rooftop deck along the main ridge, Sloping glass ceiling over Dining Room., Cylindrical cupola to light the upper floor, 17' x 30' Basement, A loft in the Kid's Bedroom. |
